NWFHA was awarded a 2006 Fair Housing Initiatives Program (FHIP) Private Enforcement Initiative (PEI)grant by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Affairs. This grant will provide funding for the period December 1, 2006 through November 30, 2006. NWFHA was awarded $275,000 to continue efforts to investigate fair housing discrimination in Eastern Washington. HUD received applications from 268 groups seeking FHIP grants, a 7% increase over fiscal year 2005. Of those, 102 (38%) were funded. |
