Northwest Fair Housing Alliance Approved By State As Real Estate School |

SPOKANE, WA – Northwest Fair Housing Alliance (NWFHA) has been approved by the Washington Department of Licensing to offer a 4 clock hour course for real estate agents: Fair Housing For Real Estate Professionals (#C6114). This course complies with the Washington Administrative Code (WAC) Chapter 308-124H-025(b)(5)(i) open curricula requirements to provide practical information related to the practice of real estate, in the legal aspects subject matter. The offered curriculum will give real estate agents an overview and basic understanding of the following fair housing topics:
Fair housing laws • Covered real estate transactions • Protected classes • Covered dwellings • Complainants and Respondents• Exemptions• Prohibitions• Advertising and Marketing• Buyer’s Agent Issues• Equal Opportunity Logo & Poster• Internet Advertising• Occupancy Standards• Housing for Older Persons• Disabilities• Reasonable Accommodations• Service/Companion Animals• Reasonable Modifications• Seller’s Agent Issues• Discriminatory Lending• Enforcement Process
For thirteen years NWFHA has provided comprehensive fair housing training for housing providers and consumers throughout Eastern and Central Washington.
“We are excited to bring this new opportunity to the real estate community,” said Marley Eichstaedt, Executive Director of NWFHA and the real estate school administrator and licensed instructor. “We are currently in discussions with local brokers and plan to begin offering trainings for agents in the near future.”
